La Sagrada Familia

Filmmaker and good friend Borja Alcalde asked us to create the promotional materials for his new film La Sagrada Familia. The film follows a family of two shamans and their three kids on a 1,000 mile road trip deep into the Amazon.

It was important for us to captured the spontaneous energy of the film, the human story with all its imperfections and daily struggles. The iconic windshield of the family’s VW camper became the lens through which we observed their reality. Around this central motif we wrapped hand-rendered text of varying sizes. The handcrafted nature of the type and the icons felt appropriate to the story and the journey the family undertook. From this two film posters were created in landscape and portrait formats alongside a website, social content and other promotional materials.
