Alistair Scott
Co-founder, Smith Scott Mullan Associates
One of the founders of Edinburgh Architects Smith Scott Mullan Associates, Alistair has wide experience of all aspects of architecture, from the design of high-quality individual buildings to major regeneration projects, developing a contemporary architecture which makes a positive contribution to our cities and the design of sustainable, low energy buildings and neighbourhoods.
Currently a Board Member of Architecture and Design Scotland, one of his enthusiasms is trying to break down the communication barriers between professionals and communities, in the belief that good design is key to our future and valued when properly explained.
Educated at Glasgow School of Art, Alistair worked in London and abroad for nearly ten years prior to setting up practice back in Scotland. He has been involved with a range of voluntary organisations, including as a former chair of the Scottish Civic Trust.
