Modular Housing for the West of Scotland

Dalgety Design prepared interior and exterior imagery for a marketing brochure showcasing high quality modular housing typologies designed by G+GA and built by Modular West.

The brief involved Dalgety Design researching and recreating four sites, each selected for their specific individual characteristics to showcase four housing typologies demonstrating the possibilities of Modular West's modular housing. The chosen sites are located on Harris, Luskentyre, Lochboisdale and Loch Melfort. Each site was modelled along with the housing itself. The four typologies vary from a one bed bolt hole to a four bed courtyard house but they all have one thing in common; they are all modular and therefore quick to construct.

The Modular West factory is located on Barra in the Outer Hebrides. Pre-built modular sections are then transported by sea or road to their selected locations and quickly and efficiently put together on site.

This was demonstrated with a build sequence diagram we prepared for the house on Harris showing the site pre-construction through to completion.
