Stallan-Brand on behalf of Drum Property are working on a mixed use development in the Tradeston area. The proposed development, Buchanan Wharf, is situated within the context of Glasgow's developing riverfront and supports Glasgow's vision to enhance its international image with high quality architectural design. The vision for Buchanan Wharf is to achieve an exemplar in good design, through the built environment and public realm.
The masterplan proposals create a sense of place for the site and engage the Scottish Government's Placemaking agenda. Community squares and pocket parks will be created to promote connectivity between buildings and will be linked through the site. When complete, the Buchanan Wharf site will provide more than a million square feet of prime office space, over 300 homes, creche facility, local amenities and transformational infrastructure works and major public spaces.
The masterplan highlights how the realisation, redevelopment and regeneration of such a significant site in the city centre can provide significant economic benefit, urban renewal and employment at a location that can act as a catalyst for other proposals and initiatives.
