Anderson Bell Christie (ABC), has concluded a two-year partnership with Strathclyde University to develop its zero-carbon neighbourhoods concept.
The employee-owned architectural practice embedded Dr Fatma
Pelin Ekdi within its team to develop its proposals with Pelin becoming an employee-owner at ABC following the programme’s conclusion.
Pelin brings her expertise in town planning, carbon calculation and research skills to the practice which has proven crucial in developing a new service offering to be launched later in the year.
ABC director Jonathan McQuillan said: “Our new service, Balance, will provide designers and decision makers the data to shape net zero places of the future.”
The practice has developed a strategy to enable housebuilders to deliver affordable net-zero homes which it says will not disrupt existing procurement processes.
