Edinburgh-based COCO is very good at making chocolate. But they needed a clear brand position: their own unique space in a competitive industry. Initially, COCO was using geometric stock designs to wrap its chocolate bars. Lind & Lime Gin

Contagious was commissioned to design the packaging for Port of Leith Distillery’s second product release; a gin inspired by the distillery’s future home.  Throughout the entirety of the design process, inspiration was drawn from the historical stories of the people and industries of Leith and it’s docks. These facts and connections are depicted by the unique intricacies of the bespoke bottle, label and the name, Lind & Lime.

Galloway is our home and a special corner of Scotland. Surrounded by forests and unspoilt coastlines, it’s the perfect larder for our ingredients. The brand and bottle design offers mirrors our home and respects our two key local botanicals of Noble Fir needles from the forest and Bladderwrack Seaweed from the coast.
